LOCATION:

"ALEGA MARE" holiday-homes are located in the wonderful scenery of the jonic shore of Sicily, only 15 km far from Taormina. The closeness to the most famous touristic places of eastern Sicily makes them the ideal place for who loves spending a quiet holiday, enjoying the beauty of Sicilian beaches without giving up the possibility of admiring the amazing landscapes and monuments.
The surrounding neighborhoods hold testimony of an ancient history in several ruins and monuments all around the countryside and the near villages. In particular the villages of Casalvecchio Siculo, Savoca (set of the 70's Hollywood production "The Godfather"), Forza d'Agro, Fiumedinisi, Scaletta Zanclea hold each the ruins of the articulated set of defensive castles maintained since the Middle Age for the protection of the shoreline villages from pirate robberies. History, arts and nature host the visitor in this attracting land for an experience that will leave a mark in each and every voyager.



DESCRIPTION:

The residence ALEGA MARE is composed of 9 very new apartments gifted with a lift. Eight of them have the name of the winds that blow from the cardinal points, portraying the characteristic of the whole jonic shore. The apartments have different sizes and can host from 2 to 8 people. All the kitchenware is available for our guests as well as touristic information and some beach accessories.



HOW TO REACH US

BY CAR:
The village of Nizza di Sicilia is 23 Km far from Messina (direction of Catania) and only 15 km from Taormina. Is possible to reach the village by car going down the highway A18 Messina-Catania until the barrier of Roccalumera. From here go on in direction of Messina on the SS114 for about 3 Km.
Mean route time: 20 minutes from Messina, 40 minutes from Catania.

BY PLANE:
The international airport of Catania Fontanarossa is the closest to Nizza di Sicilia. The bus service frequently connect the airport with the city of Catania, from where is possible to reach Nizza di Sicilia with buses or regional trains.
Mean route time: 2,30 hours.
If you'll land at the airport of Palermo, the quickest connection is the railway line Palermo-Messina followed by the regional train from Messina to Nizza di Sicilia. Mean route time: 3,30 hours.
BY TRAIN:
By train is possible to reach us with the regional connections from Messina, Catania or Giardini Naxos (Taormina). Getting off at the station of Nizza di Sicilia you'll be at a few meters from our residence. For informations about times, prices and route times you can visit the website Trenitalia.
