An excellent location with a superb view though the daily climb down to, and back from Sorrento cannot be overstated in terms of challenge!! The apartment was fairly basic and interestingly decorated and furnished but provided all that was required for a great week of sight-seeing.

The apartment was very nice and quiet, and fulfilled most of our needs and expectations. The apartment is located in a sweet location, 15 min walking to Sorrento - 20 min climbing back. The balcony is so fantastic. Daniele gave us absolutely the best service. In general, we will definitely recomend that apartment to our friends!

Although I enjoyed my stay, the beginning of my stay at the apartment would have been more pleasant if I had a map. Since I arrived at 5:45pm and wanted to return to the city center for dinner, I had difficulty finding the stairs (at dusk) but once I found them the descent was easy. The biggest problem I encountered was trying to find the stairs, in the dark, for my ascent back to the apartment. Although, I did take photos of landmarks along the way (since I could not find any posted street signs), I still managed to get lost. It took me 4 hours the first night to find my way back to the aparment which was very frustrating. I tried calling the Tredy cell phone close to 11pm, after walking for 2 hours, but it had been turned off. When I had finally given up trying to locate the steps in the dark, I did call a taxi, but the driver was not familiar with the street, Via Fragonito. I would have appreciated a map, even a handwritten one, so that I knew that the stairs were located behind the Hilton hotel and that Via Caciatore was a nearby street to the apartment. If I had attempted my return to the steps when it was still light outside, I am sure I would not have had any problem. Since I walked quickly down the street after my descent of the stairs, I missed the landmark completely of the large sign of the "Hilton hotel" since the words were written on the "OPPOSITE" side of the sign. I also was unaware that there would be so many mosquitos. The first night, I received 15 mosquito bites! So my suggestion would be to provide a map for your next guest and let them know that if they are planning to walk to the steps after dark, you would highly recommend that they use "OFF" bug spray. I would have also liked some coffee to be provided as a "welcome" so that I could have had coffee the first morning of my apartment stay. After the first night, my stay did get significantly better. I really liked the location and the view. I just had a rough start... If I was return to Sorrento, I would definitely consider staying at this apartment again...now that I know how to get around the city. :-)

Angela treated us kindly and the apartment is very clean and as described on the web site. The terraces gave beautiful views of the Bay of Naples. There is a small supermarket close by which we were able to walk to and this was a big help. Unfortunately we were very disappointed in the location of the Apartment. We were aware that it was 4 kms outside Sorrento but we were not aware of the road/paths leading into the location. Very, very poor access in and out. There was only enough room for one car, although it had to be used in both directions which frequently caused problems. Due to this we had to return to the Apt before dark which was a disappointment to us.

Angela and her family were simply the nicest hosts ever, very helpful, but mostly as warm and friendly as your favorite aunt or grandma would be! On our first night there, she even gave us a bottle of very lovely local red wine. We immediately felt we were at home, and would be taken care of. Danielle Davide was prompt in meeting us and gave us a great orientation and suggestions for Sorrento. For instance, he gave us a list of local restaurants where local Sorrentans would go. Pizzeria Franco and Parruchiano are two places we did go, and we were thoroughly pleased! The view from the two large terraces (one small upper one, and one grand lower one) is nothing short of spectacular. Looking down at the Ocean each day, and twinkle-lit city each evening took our breath away. The two rooms are large, spacious and open, and the blue tile motif is very traditionally Italian and SO lovely. The kitchen is well furnished with whatever you need to cook. We especially liked the traditional stovetop espresso machine :) We didn´t dare use them but Angela has an exquisite and complete set of beautiful china for one´s use. Another nice perk we thought was the outdoor shower on the lower terrace. It turned out to be perfect for coming back from Sorrento each evening. The walk up the narrow winding path is not for the timid nor unfit, but an exhilarating way to walk off the evening meal and gelato! You do NOT want to plan on taking a bus or taxi into Sorrento for daily jaunts, other than the first time to get there with your luggage. The taxi cost 35 euros. The bus schedule is infrequent, and doesn´t get you that close to the flat anyway. However, the path mentioned above is the short cut best way down the hill into Sorrento. Going down is about 10-12 minutes. The trek back up is 25-30 minutes, and we loved both ways, but again, especially the going UP the hill is NOT for the timid nor unfit! It´s a small twisty path/narrow road going by orange trees, lemon trees, olive groves, private vegetable gardens and bougainvillea growing on stone walls. The last half is cobblestone switchbacks going by a tiny church with a dozen or so little tile shrines depicting the crucifixion of Christ. Again, the views are more breathtaking at every turn. This is a trip that will leave you fondly wanting to go back again and again...

Our holiday in Ornella appartment was excllent! We have visited in Italy several times, but this holiday was one of the best. Thanks for Tredy (Daniele) and Ornella´s owners. They both help us always we needed help. The appartment´s terrace was larger and much more comfatable than we expected. The terrace and the panorama were best parts of the appartment. The rooms were clean and practical. The area was great and local people were so friendly and helpfull. The shower works ok, kitchen was good and the local shop and resturant were near. In addition, all attractions were near from the easy way. We didn´t rent a car, because we like walking. The publics were cheap and works grat. We realy didn´t need any car there! I think that I haven´t words enough to describe the goodness of the appartment, panorama and the area... Our best wishes for Daniele (Tredy) who helped us to start and Ornella´s owners who helped us always we needed. I really can suggest Tredy for all my friends!

The view was astonishing and beautifull, the terrace large and comfortable. Two dogs were barking to often, one of them till late in the night. We loved the early sunrise mornings and the early evenings on the terrace in the shade the olivetrees. The quitchen and the bedroom were clean, large and comfortable. The bathroom was to small, had no shower and sometimes the waterpressure was gone. The toilet seat was loose. The cleaning was good. The owner gave us some of her olive-oil and was very friendly and helpfull. Sadly only Italian spoken TV - channels :-) We loved the steap walking - route of the Via Crusifix right down to Sorrento centre (20 minutes) and made the walk nearly daily for a Cappuchino and a Pizza in the centre or at the harbour. The benefits were much bigger than the few deficits. We loved our stay on this romantic location above vibrating Sorrento.

We loved our stay at Ornella Apartment. The patio is has a breathtaking view of the Bay of Naples- it was great to have breakfast there or to enjoy some wine and cheese later in the day. It is quite a ways from Sorrento so one must have a car. I can´t imagine having to pay for a taxi for that distance. Great location for exploring that part of Italy. The only drawback to the apartment was that it has a moveable shower head but no shower curtain so one must kneel in the tub for a shower.

Absolutely beautiful and tranquil surroundings. There were provisions for the kitchen and bathroom, such as cleaning utensils, and toiletries, which were very useful. There was lovely outside lighting on the terrace patio. There was no shower as such, but a hand held shower hose. The kitchen/dining area had a nice big fridge, with box sized freezer attatched, and a double electric oven with gas hobs. I would not recommend the location to the infirm or immobile,as it is located up a very steep hill. There is some distance to the road to catch a bus,but if you enjoy walking, there is a very steep zig-zagged path of steps, with wonderful views, and the stations of the cross, symbolised on each turn, with a beautiful little grotto and neon cross at the top. Angela, the proprietor lives adjacent to the property,so is on hand if you should have any queries,I found her to be very helpful.

Molto bello.
