we were met at the train as arranged , than taken to the unit, showed how all equipment worked, this was all excellent. location was fantastic. maybe you could say on your site it is only a 5 minute walk to the main shopping centre. We loved our 5 night stay at Marina Grande Apartment. We were on the 2nd floor (3rd) with a terrace the full length of the living room and bedroom. The apartment was even better than the pictures. We enjoyed walking the path to town and the location was convenient to the bus. We also used the train, a bit longer walk, and the ferry. We would love to return to this area for another vacation.

The overall stay at your place was great. The view, the rooms, the neighbors were all above par.

The apartment is perfect location , specially if you like to walk and you like to enjoy the scenery of the beach. we took amazing pictures and after all the delicious food we ate at least we had a chance to burn them also. we were very nicely welcomed at the train station , and made sure we made it to our appartment. I will visit again in the near future. we loved it.

The flat was more than advertised the interior appointment was of a high standard and the showers and taps always had hot water. The position overlooking the harbour was beautiful and the locals very friendly and helpful. the local restaurants were of high quality and most of good value. The service of the agent was excellent meeting us promptly and showing us to the flat and loads of information on local facilities were given. The chuch next door was not at all loud on did not affect us. For our family of 5 it was excellent.

We loved staying at the Marina Grande apartment. The view is spectacular and the apartment is spacious and comfortable with lots of natural light. It was a joy to sit on the balcony watching the local activity and the changing Sea of Naples. We were pleasantly surprised at how close the apartment is to the water. You can hear the sounds of the surf and the sand is kept very clean for swimming. Just a few yards from the apartment is a bus that leaves twice an hour for downtown Sorrento, for only 1.10 Euro. We used it every day. After being downtown, it was welcoming to come back to Marina Grande. So much cooler. We rarely needed air conditioning because of the cool breezes from the sea. There is a grocery store where we found almost everything that we needed and in the evenings we enjoyed sitting outside at the various restaurants. At the end of our stay, we avoided a taxis by taking the bus back to Sorrento and walking about five minutes to the train station.

The location was perfect and we would happily return to the apartments. We had a very happy holiday and the local setting of the apartments was the highlight of our successful holiday.

Credo che il nostro giudizio sia riassumibile dall´espressione che abbiamo usato di più alla fine del nostro soggiorno: siamo stati fortunati a trovare quest´angolo di paradiso. Una menzione particolare merita anche la "trattoria da Emilia", consigliataci da Davide, che ha concluso in modo succulento e con una cordialità di altri tempi tutte le nostre serate. Infine un grazie di cuore a tutti i sorrentini che abbiamo incontrato e dai quali abbiamo ricevuto un esempio di civismo, di cortesia, di ospitalità e di calore umano, difficilmente riscontrabili in altri luoghi.

Ernesto met us off the airport bus as promised.He was friendly and helpful. The position of the apartment, away from the busy centre of Sorrento, overlooking the bay was beautiful. It was comfortable and well equiped with a mini market, Tabacchi and restaurants close by. The church bells could be heard in the bedroom at the back but didn´t disturb us perhaps very light sleepers might want to use earplugs. When choosing the apartment and booking online office staff were helpful and answered email queries promptly. We would certainly recommend this company and the lovely Marina Grande apartment.

The apartment was exactly as described; it has a magnificent view over the small fishing harbour. There is a small shop nearby and a local bus, too. Of all the restaurants we liked "Delfino" best; the food was good, so was the service - and we got a limoncello on the house. We came at the end of the season, and I can really say that the heating worked well. Unfortunnately there was no heating in the bathrooms. As we are tea drinkers, an electric kettle would have been nice, but we managed without it, and the gas cooker was very efficient. I would definitely recommend the apartment to a friend.

Marina Grande was a clean, comfortable and well equiped apartment. If we were to return to Sorrento we would be more than happy staying there again.

Marina Grande is a delightful place to stay, but we were there prior to booking so we knew that! I would just comment that perhaps it could have been mentioned that the apartment was in fact in close proximity to the church bells. We could not tell that from the photographs and it was a bit of a shock to begin with!

We were absolutely blown away by how lovely Marina Grande is and the perfect location of the apartment, both in terms of enjoying Marina Grande itself and getting to and from Sorrento centre. The apartment is spacious, bright and clean. The kitchen had all the utensils required for a very homely stay and the local butchers, fishmongers and green grocers were only a brief walk away. We thoroughly enjoyed eating, drinking, chatting, reading and observing the local fishermen at work from our balcony overlooking the sea - very enjoyable indeed. Sleeping and waking up to the sound of gently lapping waves was so relaxing. Sun loungers are also available opposite the apartment on the pier which was perfect for days we chose not to explore. Altogether a fabulous stay! Already making plans for our next stay there!

The marina grande is a lovely place to stay the two bedrooms had double beds and two bathrooms with showers very clean appartment, and very spacious. A lovely view looking out over the marina. The only thing i didn´t like were the steps up to it and the church bell going off on the sunday, But other than that it was a lovely place to stay i would probable stay there again.

Special thanks to Daniele Davide who had already been waiting for us at the bus stop, offered us a warm welcome, reacted very quickly when we had a problem and who was very trustworthy when he promised to do something for us. It was good for us to know that only a telephone call with him would solve our problems, even those which had nothing to do with our stay at the appartment. Only the kitchen was not very well equipped, maybe for the needs of North Europeans.

For the second year in a row, we stayed at the Marina Grande Apartment at the end of March. This time we arrived by train and walked down to the flat from town, which was easily accomplished. Ernesto met us at the flat and gave us the keys and we were ready for a beautiful week in Sorrento. The flat was as perfect as ever, and even quieter, because it was not the week of Easter as it was last year when we were there. That meant far fewer tourists about and much less ringing from the bells of the Church of Santa Anna next door, which I surprisingly missed. The bells, that is, not the tourists. Marina Grande once again proved to be a perfect base from which to explore Sorrento and the surrounding sights and towns. No matter how beautiful the day was on nearby Capri, or at the amazing archaeological site of Pompeii, or the stunning Amalfi drive, it was a pleasure to come home to Marina Grande Apartment, soak in the spectacular view of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius, and enjoy a home-cooked meal made from fresh, local foods and served with local wines. In the kitchen, one or two pieces of cookware were less clean that I consider acceptable, but I normally wash everything before I use it, so this was not such a big deal for me. Otherwise the apartment was spotless, and the bed linens and towels were crisp and clean. My only regret is that, with the economic downturn and the end of our hoard of frequent flier miles, we probably won´t be able to return to Marina Grande until 2011. But the magic of Marina Grande is just too strong to resist. We will be back!

Pros - The view from the apartment was simply magnificent. It was great fun watching the fishermen and their boats. Finally, with restaurants and a small store within yards of the apartment, the location in Marina Grande just cannot be beaten. Cons - The apartment was simply too cold when we arrived and remained so until Daniele brought in a couple of small heaters. (His response to our concerns was excellent throughout our stay.) I felt that for the price that we were charged, the apartment was not adequately equipped or decorated. In the kitchen, we did not have a coffee pot or toaster. Neither bathroom soap nor shampoo was provided. The front room in general had an empty appearance and only had overhead lighting. A couple of small lamps and a coffee table would greatly add to the ambience. Finally, for the price paid, we and other english-speaking guests expect a TV that offers at least a couple of english-language tv news channels. Everywhere else we have stayed so far this trip (San Gimignano, Rome, Sciacca and Pozzallo), the owners have provided Sky satellite television.

I am always suspicious when I read comments from previous clients! However I am pleased to confirm that all the nice things said about the Marina Grande and about Tredy are quite correct. In fact when I reread the guest reviews they give a very accurate impression of the appartment and also point out its few limitations. We had a very enjoyable stay there.

The apartment and its location were both delightful, and Daniele was very helpful when we arrived late and very tired. We felt the lack of certain items in the kitchen, and some utensils were not very clean (dried up cheese still in the grater for example). Perhaps it might be a good idea for a member of your staff to stay in the apartment for a few days, arriving with only a suitcase, and doing all their own cooking and catering. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and of course Sorrento itself is beautiful, and an excellent base for visiting the surrounding area and places of interest. The information you provided was very helpful. The rating for the overall stay is 8 only because of the weather which is outside your control. Thank you.

Apartment did not have a phone, which we suggest should be mentioned, as no phone meant we could not take action easily if taxi did not come for early departure - so we decided to leave one night early and pay for a hotel in Naples! Apartment only had one blanket for 2 beds. The saucepans were very old and coating was flaking off into the hot water when boiling - saucepans should be replaced. We suggest you supply a kettle for boiling water, and supply a small amount of dish-washing liquid. Wonderful view.

This was the best self catering accommodation we have ever stayed in. It was immaculate and better than discribed. The communication was good and we always felt confident there would be no problem on arrival. I can highly reccommend the flat in Marino Grandy.

The apartment was as expected it was bright and clean the beds where very comfortable, a couple of bedside lights would be good. The view from the apartment was fantastic. We all enjoyed our holiday very much, the only downside was the stairs up to the apartment, some people have commented on the bells ringing from the church next door after a few days you don´t notice them.We where very lucky to be in Marine Grande for the celebration of St Anna´s feast day,it was very interesting and to finish the weekend they was a fantastic firework display.(the bells did ring rather alot over this weekend but did it add to the celebrations). The local restaurants we very good and all requirements were on hand. We had a great stay on the Marina Grande in Sorrento! The apartment was a well suited for 6 persons. Great with 2 bathrooms! Kitchen utencils and crockery had to be cleaned before use. Bedrooms lack reading lamps at the head side of beds. Area was generally messy and waste was flowing around. Businesses around Marina Grande should have invested in waste baskets and a system for tidying up the area on regular basis.

We enjoyed very much sitting on our balcony, listening to the sound of the sea and looking to the activities of the fishermen in the little habour. From the first moment I left this apartment, I am missing the fantastic view on the Golf of Naples with its Vesuvius vulcano !! Danielle guided as well to the apartment and was kind and helpfull. The evacuation of both shower barges was filled with dirt and did n´t function very well. I have remedied the mankement by removing the drek. When the mattress in the second room has been replaced, I would strongly recommand this apartment to my friends.

Lovely apartment and fishing village location yet close to the town centre for shopping and additional dining. The only drawback was the church bell located right next to the apartment which rings 24hrs a day every hour/half + quarter hour, but this did add to the fishing village atmosphere including the fishing boats leaving harbour at 5am every morning.

Our Marina Grande apartment suited our family very well. It was a quieter part of town and an ideal base for our trips to Pompei, Vesuvius Herculaneum and Amalfi coast.

Dealing with Tredy/Sorrento.cc has been a true pleasure. The quality of the service provided met and often exceeded our expectations. For our transfers, our driver was always exactly on time, courteous and friendly. When our baggage was lost by American Airlines, Daniele helped us coordinate an extra stop at Naples airport on our way to Sorrento to collect our bags after they had finally been found. When we arrived at the Marina Grande Apartment, we were greeted personally by Daniele, who provided us with lots of useful information. We found the apartment to be completely as advertised, and in fact, better than advertised. The view from the apartment and its large balcony was no less than stunning. The kitchen was fully equipped with a gourmet-quality 5 burner gas cooktop and a convection oven. The apartment was beautifully decorated and even more spacious than the photos made it look with two large double bedrooms and two bathrooms. The bathrooms were modern and deluxe with beautiful fixtures and great showers. There was even a new washing machine. The waterfront location in Marina Grande was perfect. It felt like being miles away from Sorrento in a tiny fishing village, but Sorrento, with all its hustle and bustle and possibilities, was just a few minutes´ walk up a picturesque pedestrian lane. Marina Grande moved at a much different pace and was quiet and ancient in character. The sounds of the sea and the ringing of church bells were the prevalent sounds. If you want to savor a uniquely Italian experience, this is the place for you. From restaurants to groceries, everything was readily available within a few meters of the flat, and of course, Sorrento town above lacked for absolutely nothing. We had a spectacular stay at the Marina Grande Apartment and can recommend it without reservation. This is a very special property, and the people of Tredy/Sorrento.cc are professional, honest and sincere; the service they provided was impeccable and always with a regard for maximizing our valuable vacation time without hassles. It was a pleasure doing business with them and I look forward to doing so again.

This location is exactly what every one would want (apart from the church bells). A great harbour viewed from the balcony. Not far to town. Restaurants all around. A real feeling of a fishermans town! The guys from Tredi were first rate as well! Definately recommend them, the house and the area ... especially for Christmas and New Years!

We must thank Ernesto for recommending this apartment when the one we requested was not available. He went out of his way to send a personal e mail and then quickly responded to our phone calls to secure the booking. Valeria was at the station to meet us. She handled the Travellers cheque problem with tact and efficiency. Our only problem was not being able to stay longer. For us this was the best apartment in sorrento.

Overall the pictures on the website did not do the apartment justice. it was clean and welcoming with a fab balcony over looking the bay. Amazing... The clock was a bit noisy as was the building works(but they were very considerate!!) beside us but it did nothing to dampen our holiday in such a fab surroundings.... Many thanks Roisin One question - I don´t know who you do your tours with but 150 per person per half day to the different sites was very expensive as we got a full day trip for 41euro which was excellent value at the local tourist office.

The apartment - Via del Mare 104, Sorrento- is next to the local church. The clock bell chimes every half hour from 4am - this should be mentioned in the information about the location of the apartment. Otherwise a beautiful location - the walk to town builds up your appetite!

Loved every bit of the apartment - especially the balcony!! The only thing that I would add to the apartment is a kettle in the kitchen!

We were very happy with our apartment and was better than we expected. It was bright and sunny and exceptionally clean. Having two bathrooms was a plus as our son was staying with us from London and it gave him some privacy. One of the most enjoyable holidays we have ever taken. The appartment was ideal (but a lift would have been nice) and the location was better than you had described. The only item we missed in the appartment was a kettle to boil water for drinks. The only other down side was the problems with parking on occasions although I accept that this is outside of your control. Thankyou for a lovely holiday.
