LOCATION:

Suite Margherita is a small and graceful apartment of 50 sq. m. It is a modern apartment and it has been recently renewed. The apartment is located in Sorrento centre, in the quiet neighbourhood of Santa Lucia. This area is a few hundred meters from the main square of Sorrento, Piazza Tasso. NearSuite Margherita there are many shops: a supermarket, a confectioner’s, laudrett, fruit and vegetable market, restaurants etc., but at the same time this is in a very quiet area. If arriving by car, there are many pay car parks not far from the apartment. The railway station is about 500 meters away, and Pompeii, Naples etc. are easily reached by train. The nearest beach is Marina Grande, which is 700 meters away: it can be reached on foot, but one can also do by car, there is a car park there. The beach is a typical fishermen’s village and on the west-side of it are a lot of bathing establishments where umbrellas, deckchairs and bars are available and where kids can swim safely. Sorrento is built on a layor of solidified volcanic ashes, and rises 50 meters above sea-level so there aren’t many beaches. This is the reason why it has so many wooden bathing establishments here. For thoes looking for a large beach in the Sorrento area, it is advisable to go to Alimuri beach (4 Km away from the Suite Margherita) – a pay car park available. Curiosity: in renting Suite Margherita, it is good to know that each week on Tuesday (400 meters away from the apartment), a street market is arranged, and there is one on Mondays in Sant’Agnello and Piano di Sorrento (about 2 Km away from the apartment) where one can find anything for very good prices. We also suggest visiting the small but absolutely breath-taking public garden Villa Comunale of Sorrento (free entrance) from where one can admire the beautiful gulf of Naples with its symbol Vesuvius. And in the evening, to try one of the best pizzas in the area, one should try Le Macine Restaurant (200 meters away from the house).

DESCRIPTION:

To reach the Suite Margherita, one has to reach the Santa Lucia neighbourhood (called after the name of the saint of the light to whom the main church of this area is dedicated) and then the Primavera buildings.

Suite Margherita is on the third floor with a lift. The main door leads to a corridor. In front of it there is the double-room, on the left is the bathroom with shower and the living-room with a cooking corner. There si also a terrace where it is nice to eat in the open air.

Suite Margherita is far from the main road: for this reason this apartment is particularly quiet, even though it is in the center of Sorrento. The double room is equipped with a big wardrobe. To the right and to the left of the bed two bedside tables are placed (with lamps) and two little armchairs. This room connects to the terrace. The other main room is the living-room with a nice sofa bed and a table with chairs. On the other side of the same room there is a extremely efficient and equipped cooking-corner. Also the the living-room connects to the terrace. The bathroom , equipped with shower, is small but efficient and it has been recently renewed

The proximity to the railway station and bus stop (about 500 m. away) makes it easy to reach Naples, Pompeii and the other nearby tourist attractions of the area.

HOW TO REACH SORRENTO

FROM ROME BY CAR:

From Rome take the \"A1\" south (Napoli) and, after leaving Naples, take the \"A3\" Napoli - Salerno (Not Tangenziale Napoli). Follow the brown sign “Penisola Sorrentina”. Exit at Castellammare di Stabia and follow Sorrento.

FROM ROME AIRPORT BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT:

There is a shuttle that connects the Airport with the main railway station in Rome. From the main station there are several trains to Naples (The trip takes approximately 2 hours). In alternative, (only on week days) the “Marozzi” bus leaves from Tiburtina train station at 7:00 am and 3:00 pm: the bus takes directly to Sorrento ( Euros 15.99).

FROM NAPLES CAPODICHINO AIRPORT BY CAR:

From Naples Capodichino Airport follow the A/3 Naples-Salerno, in the salerno direction, exit at Castellammare di Stabia; once in Castellammare di Stabia follow the National Road 145 (SS 145) as far as Sorrento which is about 48 kms away from Naples.

FROM NAPLES CAPODICHINO AIRPORT BY PUBLIC MEANS:

From Naples airport you can take a taxi or bus to the railway station at Piazza Garibaldi. At the main train station board the local Circumvesuviana trains which leave for Sorrento every 20 minutes all day. In alternative, from Naples Capodichino Airport you can take the bus “Curreri”, that takes you directly to Sorrento; it departs at 9:00 am – 11:30 am – 01:00 pm – 02:30 pm – 04:30 pm – 07:00 pm. (The trip takes approximately 1 hour).
